First Coast to celebrate birth of Tea Party

The First Coast Tea Party is hosting a birthday party in honor of the anniversary of the Tea Party movement.

When: Feb. 27, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: The grounds of the Zamar Center, 8493 Baymeadows Way, Jacksonville.

What can you expect?

• Tea Party information booths.
• A "Let Freedom Sing" concert (unclear who will perform).
• Carnival-like food, such as hot dogs and apple pie, as well as tea, of course.
• A showing of "TEA PARTY: The Documentary Film."

What should you bring?

• Family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc.
• Lawn chairs or blankets for sitting on the ground.
• Warm, comfortable clothing and shoes.
• Donations are accepted.
