GOP candidates win in 13 out of 24 PBC seats

Results of the Palm Beach County municipal elections from March 9 are posted here.

Republicans won in 13 out of 24 seats (two of the 24 seats did not have GOP candidates):
Boynton Beach mayor: Jose Rodriguez
Delray Beach Seat 2: Fred B. Fetzer
Jupiter North District: Jim Kuretski
Jupiter South District: Todd "Woody" Woodraska (The only two candidates running were Republicans.)
Manalapan Seat 4: Louis DeStefano
North Palm Beach Group 1: Bob Gebbia (The only two candidates running were Republicans.)
Palm Beach Gardens Group 2: Joseph R. Russo (The only two candidates running were Republicans.)
Royal Palm Beach mayor: Matty Mattioli (The only two candidates running were Republicans.)
Royal Palm Beach Group 3: Richard Valuntas.
Tequesta Seat 3: Jim Humpage
Tequesta Seat 5: Calvin D. Turnquest (The only two candidates running were Republicans.)
Wellington mayor: Darrell Bowen
Wellington Seat 2: Anne Gerwig
In total, 64,024 votes were cast. According to the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, 809,483 citizens are registered to vote. Nearly 46 percent are Democrats, 29 percent are Republicans and the remaining 25 percent are listed as "other."
