Action Alert: E-mail Congress to repeal Obamacare

FreedomWorks has set up a Repeal Obamacare War Room, where you can find resources and take action to ask legislators to repeal the law.

FreedomWorks says:
As its first major act, the new Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives plans to vote on a bill to COMPLETELY REPEAL OBAMACARE. This vote will take place in the House NEXT WEEK. The House will hold a preliminary, procedural vote THIS FRIDAY.

We need to fully repeal Obamacare because it will kill jobs, bankrupt the government, drive up everyone's health insurance costs, put bureaucrats in charge of our health care, and ruin the world's best health care system.

Obamacare was rammed through Congress last year by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, without garnering a single Republican vote. In November, voters gave Republicans majority control of the House of Representatives in large part as a repudiation of the Democrats' arrogant health care legislation.

Polls have consistently shown that a solid majority of Americans want Washington to reverse the government takeover of health care and adopt a patient-centered approach. A House vote on Full Repeal is the first step.

Here's what's happening:
  • On Wednesday, January 12th, the House will debate and vote on the bill H.R. 2, the "Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law" Act. H.R. 2 would repeal Obamacare entirely, as if it had never been passed.
  • Prior to taking up H.R. 2, the House will first vote on a "rule" bill to establish the specific procedures for the debate on H.R. 2. The vote on the "rule" will take place this Friday, January 7th.
In the War Room, you can call or e-mail Congress, get ideas for actions you can take in your community, find talking points and track the development of the law (and, let's hope, its repeal). It's so easy to send an e-mail here -- I did, and so should you!

What: Urge Congress to repeal Obamacare.
When: Now.
